Product Designer - Developer Tools Role

The Product Designer will create user experiences for Ooto's infrastructure management interfaces. You will design dashboards, configuration tools, and diagnostic interfaces that make sovereign compute accessible to operations teams with varying technical expertise.

• Design dashboard interfaces for mesh telemetry.
• Prototype cluster configuration workflows.

Your design work will make sovereign infrastructure intuitive and accessible.

Design Philosophy - Clarity for complex systems

Ooto interfaces must surface complex distributed systems state in ways operations teams can understand quickly. You'll design visualizations for mesh topology, sovereignty boundaries, and workload distribution that communicate system health at a glance.

Core Projects - Dashboards and diagnostic tools

• Design telemetry dashboards showing real-time mesh performance.
• Create sovereignty visualization showing data residency boundaries.
• Prototype incident investigation workflows for debugging.
• Develop cluster configuration interfaces with validation feedback.
• Design mobile-optimized views for on-call operations.

User Research - Understand operator workflows

Shadow infrastructure teams during incident response and maintenance.

1. Conduct interviews to understand pain points in existing tools.
2. Run usability tests on prototype designs with target users.
3. Gather feedback through beta programs with early customers.

Design System - Consistent visual language

Build reusable components that maintain consistency across products. Define typography, color, and layout patterns for technical interfaces. Create documentation enabling engineers to implement designs accurately.

Cross-Functional Collaboration - Bridge design and engineering

Work closely with frontend engineers on component implementation. Partner with backend teams to understand API capabilities and constraints. Collaborate with product managers on feature prioritization.
