Distributed Systems Engineer Role

As a Distributed Systems Engineer, you will design and implement core components of Ooto Neural OS. You will work on mesh networking protocols, consensus algorithms, and cryptographic isolation systems that power sovereign infrastructure globally.

Core Technologies - Rust and distributed consensus

  • Implement mesh routing algorithms with sub-12ms latency targets.
  • Design cryptographic voting protocols for workload placement decisions.
  • Build telemetry systems for real-time mesh observability and debugging.
  • Optimize RDMA-style memory access patterns for distributed training.
  • Develop automated incident response for node failures and partitions.

Performance Requirements - Sub-millisecond coordination

Achieve consensus in under 3ms for typical mesh operations.

  1. Profile and optimize critical paths in coordination protocols.
  2. Implement zero-allocation algorithms for hot paths in the kernel.
  3. Design benchmarks that validate P99 latency under production loads.
Team Collaboration - Cross-functional infrastructure work

Work with security engineers on cryptographic primitives, infrastructure teams on deployment automation, and research scientists on novel consensus mechanisms. Participate in design reviews and contribute to Ooto's open technical discussions.
